BOZ Steenbergen FB defense...
How long can 5 dogs defend an fb attack?
Well we lost Steenbergen (no bde in town after a short period of time).
My last mission at Steenbergen I killed:
wokelly, kosten, flipper, seadbird1 & ramlee. ramlee killed me.
After we lost Steenbergen, Dog Company decided to defend the BOZ/Steen fb. We had a BLAST.
First one to spawn the fb on defense was ibe56 (whom I call dad)
The following shows who we killed & who killed us. I love how many attacked throughout this 2 hour defense. WAY TO GO DOGS!

Pushing the Germans back
Tharival writes " I never knew the name of the city we entered. It was just that, a city. Did I know a battle was brewing here? No. Of course not, I'm just a grunt, they don't tell us anything. The driver had practically booted my small squad off the back of the truck and pointed in a direction. Rystan nodded and looked at the small group of infantry. We were all from different units, just pickups that the driver motioned to get aboard. But, Rystan knew why were here. He had been given orders by high command and he was authorized to use anything in his disposal to complete his mission.
"We're going to push the Germans out of the western part of the city." He said as he adjusted his helmet and checked his rifle.
The rest of the thrown together squad looked at each other and one of the rifleman shook his head, "No, I'm not even supposed to be here."
Rystan glared at the soldier and the rifleman went silent.
"Get your gear in order, we're moving out right now..."
Before he could finish his words, rounds snapped angrily around our group and we scattered. Rystan sprinted for the cover of the buildings and I followed hot on his tail. It seemed like we were taking fire from a hill just to our North East.
We dove into the doorway and tried to calm down. The rifle fire seized and it was only me and Rystan left. The others had either been hit or routed.
"We need to move west, the Depots we need to clear are that way." Rystan explained to me and I nodded.
"I'm not sure how well I'm going to do, I only have an LMG. Nothing for close combat."
He nodded, "Good enough. Let's move out!"
We stayed in the building, bursting through doorway after doorway. It was better than exposing ourselves to the snipers on the hill next to us. Rystan prepared to burst into the final room when the sound of gunfire shattered the silence around us. Rystan had stepped into a room with an enemy SMG waiting for us! I went down on one knee and fired blindly into the room while Rystan sought cover, his own rifle firing at the enemy.
The German was certainly wounded in the exchange of gunfire, but so was Rystan. Seeing an opportunity to better my firing position, I went prone and fired another long string of rounds into the German. Finally, he screamed in pain and went silent.
"Are you OK?" I asked, nearly deaf from the indoor firing.
Rystan nodded and another snap of rounds forced us to the ground for cover. The snipers on the hill were firing down through the doorways trying to get us. Rystan disappeared as he continued through the building to try and outflank the snipers.
I lost sight of Rystan as I fired at the flashes of rifle fire, two of the snipers seized firing as a result of my shooting and Rystan killed the third as he ran up the hill to engage them in close quarters. From this moment on we were separated from each other and I have no idea as to what happened to him.
Separated, but still following my orders I continued through the buildings and immediately came under intense LMG and Rifle fire from one of the Depots we needed to clear. It appeared that enemy vehicles were at this depot, refueling and being sent out on their missions. Fortunately, a tanker saw my need for cover fire and began lighting up the area with MG and cannon fire. The commander, whom I'm eternally grateful of, popped his head out of the hatch and yelled down to me, "Hurry up and cross over! Use my tank for cover!"
I nodded and sprinted out of the building and across the street but the large friendly tank was stirring up a hornets nest. MG fire and explosions filled the air but I was reassured by seeing friendly troops also pushing the objective.
Seeing an opportunity during a lull in the firefight, I sprinted towards the depot. A German, surveying the battle from a window didn't expect my LMG to be shoved into his belly and I let loose a long burst of fire. He fell from view and another soldier jumped from his radio, darting for his rifle. I dispatched the Radioman and then finally made entry into the Depot. With this capture, the other soldiers around me cleaned up the area while I defended the radio. My total kills were 9 infantrymen, the most I've every had in one engagement, mostly made while I defended the Depot! I did not come out unscathed though, I took a couple hits from the snipers on the hill but none were fatal and I was able to continue my mission.

Zeeland Action
I logged in & saw the Zeelands gonna be the target with paradrops all night until we owned.
TT's already had msps & armour over for Krabbendijke. Let the fun begin!
Axis had Kamperland, Walsoorden & Gravenpolder all contested while we were busy attacking Krabbendijke. They rotated naval bdes about & we attrited them. After securing our 3 towns multiple towns, we took Krabbendijke.
Bounced axis naval off map in Kats, than took Stavinesse, they pulled bde before we owned & they did the same thing at Gorisboek.
We took Haamstede, Browershaven, Ouddorp (Ouddorp was a mini battle as we only sent 3 at a time there & axis had D there as well) & than had a battle at Stellendam, they had 3 bdes in it & had ran supply over from Helle, had opels & a few pieces of armour & defense set up really well.
The whole time we were para dropping there many were attempting to blow the fb to BOZ from Zandviliet.
By the time I changed our tgt to help with BOZ & got a group of paras ready to lift from Vlissingen I was informed they had finally blown the fb & that BOZ had been attrited of much supply.
DD's & fmbs were in the harobur for support, lots of air coverage, so no matter what you prefer to play ingame all types of action was there & loads of fun to be had.
We had army bdes in Zandviliet, Krabbendijke & Gorisboek which provided us with 3 spawnables. The N depot was capped just before we dropped on the tgt & the N depot held throughout the attack. Docks were capped back & forth as well as many of the other flags, It was fun!
Axis pulled thier HQ out shortly before we owned.
Dogs in attendance were ibe56, dakernel, quizno, ibe37, terry32 & ohm.
chumbkt & tora1 showed up almost after the party. They got to enjoy the show in BOZ.

ZIC in action again! WOOF
Oh what a night! I logged into game tonight & we had an AO on Dordrecht & a few on attack. Dogs were actually on with a half a dozen of us. You know what that means!
So I started getting things done with my squaddies help & others that like attacking up here with us.
I set up MSP & kept up my chatter & all of you that give me intel, THANKS!
We(dogs) than started on the fb while some naval guys started to Cromstrijen. We lost spawnable in Dordrecht since axis put up counter AO after we took it. I had a TT enroute so I could put up a MSP from Willemstad. Our naval guys got flags in Crom, we blew the fb & libbed Dordrecht & than headed to Crom as well. We took Cromstrijen & than headed to Geel that was down 3 flags all up in town.
We liberated Geel & our TT still hadnt arrived yet, but he was close! LOL So we got an AO on Browershaven & took a fmb ride up with 5 inf. We all died except 1 whom capped the city flag. So we decided instead of taking another fmb ride that we would do a glider run in instead since our ride(ibe37) was gonna log soon. Just as we were lifitng off the axis finally recapped city flag. We all laughed at that one since it was such a slow response time.
Ibe37 was tired & drove into arc of ai from AB & we lost some inf to ai. He spun around & the rest of us ran for all we were worth! I got into radio room & started cap. I had sagacity covering me, but he was damaged. I told him where to watch for ei & he killed 3 by the time I capped our spawnble. We got mission posted & he respawned for full health. I stayed at radio with 2 guards. sagacity & ? sorry forgot.
We got into town & capped city flag & than the E depot. After E depot guard died & another person got out there & recapped our armour finally arrived! See we still used that TT that we didnt need for the Cromstrijen attack. LOL See how things work out! ;)
We capped docks, the bunker & than the E depot again to own! What an awesome battle!
Helmond was being hit as our BEF comrades were busy attacking Valkenswaard. So I gave the call to get to Helmond for aide. Well we definetly helped since no one was defending anythng there. Myself, headbutt & ckdek guarded the bunker for ???who knows how long. Others came in & checked & most left to try to get S flags.
I called for a ju pilot to get paras enroute from Eindhoven, tried to get .allied for paras since only 2 spawned from those on defense. We had an armour column of 4 ;( Just couldn't get people to do what was needed on that last defense in a timely manner. Anyhow the axis took Helmond wihc leaves them able to mole Eindhoven. It was still a fun night overall!
The battle still rages on & this campaign is far from over! S! KBO WOOF Thanks for playing!

Bloody Night
oversoul writes "This evening started with a leisurely CAP flight with two fellow members of Dog Company. We ended up bagging two enemy fighters, but one of us got separated and then downed.
The highlight of the evening was being in the Kamperland-Haamstede depot as it was overrun and killing seven ei--three with aimed rifle shots and four with rifle grenade bombardment.
Anyway, throughout the evening I earned 26 kills in the BEF, RAF, RN, ArFr, and FAF while surrendering only 6 KIA's. It was fun, especially in Zelzate crawlin around in grass shootin at ei noises and in Haamstede sniping as many ei possible before getting dead. To the foe I say: S!

Party In Mettet
oversoul writes "A squaddie (quizno) drove me from Somzee to Mettet, and dropped me off near the enemy AB. As I was trying to infiltrate the AB, an EI rand almost right up to me. I waited forever and finally fired a two-round burst, hittin him in the chest and the head. He fell down, dead.
Then I crawled into the AB and proceded to hide in the depot real good. I could hear the enemy tromp-tromp-tromping all around me, and I was in a corner, ready to blast them as they appeared. But none appeared and after a while, I was curious. Peaking out, I saw an EI standing on a tarp in the AB like they owned the place. Well, I guess they DID own it, but I was still tempted to blast him.
Later on, they were loading sappers, and I chunked a nade at an Opel with 8 EI on it. They nade sailed over them and detonated harmlessly 4-5m away. Now that would have made a fun story!
After some time, I exfiltrated the AB and crawled around to the spawnable. I squirted some bullets at an EI standing in plain sight on the depot roof, stunning him. He proceeded to randomly RG everything in sight. His luck wasn't in cause I escaped unscatched.
Then I snuck back into the AB, capped the depot in there, and hauled a-- away and hid. I could hear more panic fire, and it took them a whole ten minutes to recap.
Then I crawled back to the spawnable area and was almost strafed by a 110! I was in a bushes berm, but he rolled in and put bullets all around me. As I crawled away, there were holes in the opposite face of the berm. Very odd.
I crawled all the way up to the spawnable, meeting no resistance, and thinking I had it for sure this time. I crawled into the doorway and there was a EI chilling right there! He sort of twitched and shot no where near me, and I hosed him down. When I saw him drop, I hauled but out of there.
I egressed town to the SE, scanning by backtrail for enemy trackers. At first I set a course for Flavion, intending to mole two towns in one mission. But halfway there, the HQ crackled and reported we had gained a foothole there. Not wanting to try to infiltrate a hot town, I made my way to the Philipville-Flavion FB area to RTB, but watched in horror from 900m away as German sappers destroyed it. I continued on foot, making the difficult but necessary walk from there to Philipville, and having to detour two kilometers south of the enemy fire base which was east of town.
Results of Mettet Party: 3h36m, 3 kills, 3 dmgs, 1 cap, RTB!

Wild Weasel
oversoul writes "Been trying to get better at suppressing enemy air defenses, especially around their forward bases. This mission I launched from Antwerp. My unit was reporting PZs around the AB.
Well, the PZs had been dealt with when I arrived, but a 232 was reported W of the AB. I spotted his tracers, extended to line up, and rolled in on him. I got some hits on his flank, and he took off, running S. As he crossed the road into the open, I lined up another flank shot. This one was more difficult as he was on the run. I fired a burst into his right flank and saw secondaries as I pulled out.
He kept going, to my dismay, and I did not want to deplete my ammo on a less-than-worthy target. I strafed an 88 that was SE of town as ground forces moved in to eliminate it. Then I proceded to the FB.
We already had two or three friendly air over the enemy stronghold and no enemy air was present. I waited until another friendly rolled in, cut my engine, and rolled in on the enemy flak position as they tracked the other fly on his pull-out. I released one of my 250lb bombs right onto the enemy position, silencing two of the big 40mm cannons.
I reported "two enemy 40mm destroyed" as I returned to town and resumed the FAC role. Nothing was doing so I headed back to the FB to support and inbound sapper team. Friendly air was still harassing, and I rolled in on a flak position containing three big guns. As I pulled out and looked back to survey the damage, all three guns were on fire, and there were numerous secondary explosions from ordnance cooking off.
After 2rcr arrived with Daimlers to suppress as the sapper team went in, I escorted daro, another HurriIIc gunship, back to base.
Intel told me I had destroyed five heavy flak guns, and the 232 and the 88 were only damaged. Mission success.

Knife Duel
oversoul writes "Hiked a long way and capped the Maaseik-Roermond depot after we finally got some FBs opened up. Others were hitting the West side of the river as well and the east side, where I was, was quiet. I capped and moved back. An ei recapped, and after a delay I moved in and capped again.
Then I moved north to the EAB. I was in the bunker capping but my mates said not to cause they'd get fresh supply when they recapped. So i pulled out, and dodged a PZIIIH who was leaving.
As I crawled along the wall I took some rifle fire. I peeked above a berm and saw a ei rifle looking away. Getting back down, I pondered my situation, as I was an ATR troop. So I pulled out my Kabar and sprinted towards the foe. He took two shots and missed, and decided that wasn't sporting, and pulled out his kraut slicer.
We went around some, and I had landed three hits, when I heard MG fire close by. I thought it was a tank and I was a goner. But it was a ei lmg, and as I charged him to slice him up, he shottied me.
Leave it to a gray to interrupt a gentlemanly knife duel!

Dog Minicon Adventure
oversole writes "So I left home, friends, and family behind and travelled to the site of this year's WWIIOL Dallas Minicon in Bedford. I left a little late so I drove about 85mph the whole way there from my folks place in Bossier City, LA. I got to the Rat HQ at about 5:30pm, and some of them were still in there. In the first room was Toto, and I said a few words to him and looked around his office at the posters of pretty women!
Then I went to see Rafter. He was extremely friendly and not rowdy Rafter I expected. He showed me where the other guys were hanging out. In another room was a huge 10ftx8ft map of the theater with pushpins showing supply links and stuff. Then I saw Gophur. After I introduced myself, he started talking to me and answering some of my questions. It was cool to get so much attention from a Rat big wig! I also went into one room where there was a Rat intern (dont remember the fella's name) working on the new 3D buildings. He leaked to us top secret images of the new flag and vehicle spawn buildings: very cool! While I was in that room I didn't notice I was standing next to evil overlord Shilling! And I had just lost my knife the weekend before. DANG! :]
Then we all moved over to Bennigan's and the drinking and war story telling commenced. They had a real hokey way of issuing drinks: everyone got a number, and then you told a random person what drink you wanted and what number, then another person would come and holler your number and try to find you. It was whack.
So me, Britboy, Bokeh, Sabre6, MGS, and gophur all ate together and talked some about the game. Doc was also at the table too, but he was on down there a little ways. I also saw KSF1 and Badger at the dinner. I left and told Britboy I'd pick him up for paintball.
The next day the radio called for 60% chance of rain, and as I drove to get my squaddie it looked like it might hold off. But as we left for paintball, it got darker and darker, and finally it was pooring down hard. Added to that was the frustration of heavy traffic right inside Dallas and trying to navigate to the paintball place.
Finally we got out of town and near the place. I was using the map off the website, and took the shortest path to the paintball park, which told me to go down hwy 740 and then onto S King and we'd be there. HOWEVER, the map did not say that S King was UNPAVED and was rendered unnavigable by the downpours. So Britboy and I hang a right onto S King Rd and see the pavement end. There is a dude about 50 yards up, off in the ditch, trying to work himself out.
Now, my truck is a four-cylinder two-wheel-drive manual Chevy S-10 with road wheels--not engineered with mud in mind. NEVERTHELESS in my dumbarsedness I thought, "I can make it down there as long as I stay centered." Yea right! We got about to where the dude was and started drifting left, towards the ditch. I quit struggling and just parked the truck there. We got and talked to the driver of the other vehicle, a Chevy Blazer. He said he didn't know where a paintball place was around there (it was less than a mile away at this point hehehe).
So we left him, I got all my gear, and we started hiking in the goo mud towards the field. We walked about a quarter mile and then it started raining hard. Me and Britboy made some jokes about getting the real WW2 experience: hiking through the mud, in the rain. At least it wasn't cold! As we walked and crossed some fenceline, Britboy tried to shredder himself on the barbed wire to get the full Texas experience (he's a Yankee you know). :] :] :] We passed two more vehicles that were stuck real good, and one guy that was going through there in a jeep just for grins. We saw him have to get out and work the vehicle back onto the center of the road a couple of times.
Finally we got to the park and got set up. I was rocking and rolling. The teams were 6 vs 6 to begin with. The first two rounds were played on a partially wooded course roughly 2 or 3 acres. There were some knee deep streams running through it that I got to play in. >:O The first game, I shot three guys and forced another to surrender while Britboy covered my bum. The next round, Britboy got shottied in the toe, but I was able to assassinate his murderer after some stalking.
Then we played some "Blackhawk Down" which was a close-quarters urban style speedball field. My team promptly romped the enemy team and accomplished the objective, which was touching the tower that the enemy started in. I shottied a guy that was playing with us, he was carrying a big gun, an Autococker with an E-Blade if you know something, and I sprayed him down with my Pirhana while he was moving. Don't underestimate the fella with the cheap gun is the lesson he learned. :] Anyway I finished up the day with seven shooting kills, one surrender kill, and three deaths. I sorta slumped at the end, I was seven and zero before the slump started hehe.
Then a fella drove us around the long way (not thru the mud) to get to the truck. It had dried up enough during the four hours or so that I was barely able to work it out of there myself. Then I dropped Britboy off and drove home for some heavy drinking with ValkyrieHonor Guard buddies. VHG CHA CHA CHA!"

behind enemy lines
oversole writes "My crew and I boarded our aircraft for yet another mission into the heart of the French industrial complex. Rumor have been circulating about a new type of fighter, and we do not want to face this terror in the skies.
We crossed over the front lines at a 'safe' altitude, and our thoughts were on our brothers in the trenches below. We must face our own hardships in the air, however.
As we approached the target, we descended to a lower altitude to better acquire the target. On the run in, I handed control of the aircraft off to the bombardier for last minute course and altitude corrections. As the French factory filled the bombardier's sight, he let go with our 2000kg payload. The lurch of the bombs releasing was distinct even over the already bump ride thanks to angry French flak gunners.
We began climbing away from the target as the top gunner scanned for contacts and the bottom gunner looked for our impacts. But all of a sudden the bottom gunner hollered on the intercom, "Enemy fighter 6oc low!"
I maintained our course and climb as the bottom gunner dealth with the threat. At first the enemy tried to charge up to us, but we were too high and he lost speed. Our heavy bomber was slower than his nimble fighter, however, and he eventually gained on us.
He bagan firing and our gunners opened up as well. Both of our engines were hit and began leaking oil. Both my rear gunners reported numerous hits on the enemy, but he was dogged in his persuit of us. Suddenly my bottom gunner cried out, "I've been hit!" My bomardier went aft to tend to his wounds, while the top gunner continously pummeled the enemy.
Finally the enemy veered away, either too injured to maintain the attack or out of ammo. I nursed the plane along, trying to make it to one of our forward bases.
A constant eye on the oil quantity gauge, however, told me we would not be celebrating with our brothers in the pub this night. Before we ran out power from our dying engines, I cut throttle and began a descent. As we got lower, I could make out a river town I would later discover was the French village of La Fere. I steered SE trying to get as close to home as possible. Finally, I made an approach onto a straight, flat country road. After we landed, I taxied off into a field. My bombardier destroyed the bombsight and all the maps, records, and manuals while I kept an eye out for curious farmers. Finally, my crew and I began our slow, tedious trek towards home.

Dordrecht, Cromstrijen & Grobbendonk keep marines busy!
Quizno writes "Last night we had a close call. The marines were busy in Dordrecht all evening. I logged in & found Dordrecht already contested, so I spawned in at the only point we had to spawn, the ab & I saw everyone running out of the ab so I headed to check the bunker (I had no idea how long we had been contested) I see thebog in the bunker & someone else upstairs so I go around to the MH, the radio was playing loudly "Don't let the axis horde take me!". So I answered the call & stayed put into the bunker. I didn't notice on text that anyone was leading this group of players (not many marines on at this time & lots of players I didn't even know were there), so I started stating what needed to be done. People still either didn't stick to guarding for long or they would die & we would lose the recapped flags. People were draining the rescources from Moerdijk to try to get the fb. Warpd on TS says how about we go grab the coorsponding depot in Crom to stop them from spawning. I tell him to go for it. Well he only gets 2 marines that are free to go, so I was already in contact with killufoo from 333rd & ask him to see if his guys would like to go to crom & they came pretty quick. I'm not sure exactlyhow many rode Warpd some died, not reallly sure from what, I just know he drove most of them back over & some of the guys that went to town died to ai LOL (this was AFTER I told them on ts where it was they still went in wrong approach LOL
Sniper62 asks me to get him sappers to spawn Moerdijk for a fb run & I ask for that too, 3 show up. I had another group trying to flank to the N to get around to their spawnable too. People kept tyring to get the bridges secure. They axis had an 88 set up that was in a great spot for them & horrible for us. I don't even know who finally claimed the kill, the text chat was flying. A fellow marine spawned in & I guess asked 5 times who was OIC & I missed it each time. He never asked on TS, but of course TS was busy with chatter too for those trying to work on cromstrijen. Anyhow once we finally liberated, I finally got to despawn from the bunker, I did take an extra minute to run out into the ab area & fire a few rounds into the air joyfully. Mission Success 3:19:?? RTB
Not once did an ei get to the bunker. Only a few tried earlier in the attack & didn't make it past one of the rat hole.
We of course start resupplying & the axis recapped the flags in Cromstrijen, but we also blew that fb FINALLY. We held it for a bit but most were still trying to keep the axis players from recapping that NW depot & that SRR flag. So we are busy doing supply runs so we can counter attack figuring they have to be low also when we lose all the flags in Grobbendonk at once, aomercy jumps in there & yells on TS, get to Grobb I need help. Of course the axis had Grobb totally camped. they had also packed the bunker too. I guess we were all so busy that we all missed the ews.
I spawn in & mercy is telling us on TS to stay in the depots until air arrives & I start typing out on text what she she says on TS. I type in .hc to see if we have anyone that can do a .allied & see oneman, I tell him grobb is camped & we need air. He tells me he's busy fighting fires & says 'you have .allied right?" I pm me back "LOL I haven't had .allied for months & Im not even AHC any longer. So he gives me .allied for 27 (We were still using 25 for Cromstrijen) I have no idea how much armour they had but it was a sweet attack. Comstar recapped a depot when we really needed it. As soon as the radio came up the bunker was theirs. By this time we had lots of support & a TON of allied bombs enroute. someone on TS was like we have about 50 bombers enroute, was that an exageration(sp)? I have no idea because I had read on text one person said a crew of 20 pilots had just lifted off.
I saw a few negative comments about how we were doomed & that the town was lost, I would immedietly tell the troops that we would prevail. We had people spawning our fb & coming back in. I had a good view of the ab area & N side of town & around the city flag. So I stayed put & called out contacts of where to bomb & stuff & mercy was in another depot & called out what she needed from her perspective. So I continued to tell others what she was informing me on TS.
I may have lead the defense on text but in mypersonal opinion it was mercy who saved the day by being able to respond so quickly to the simocap in Grob. The noise of unbelieving allied players that we actually pulled this save off was tremendous. I also heard the distinct click of some axis players logging off in disgust!
Grobbendonk going axis DENIED.
I notice that Cromstrijen is still axis & the line remains the same as when I logged in last night, but I tell you what we fought tooth & nail & this is turning out to be a great map. Not one side is dominating over the other, each side is trying thier best & giving it their all to win for their respective teams. These are the maps I love because when we win its a glorious feeling.
We need Cromstrijen so we dont' have defend 2 towns. We need to keep pushing the front. This division is shaping up & I find that we are working so much better together now that we are starting to know each other better.
Thanks to 94 for helping us out too!

oversole writes "After sitting out for roughly two months, I was wondering how I would get back into the swing of things. I logged on early today to check out the cool new patch with the swaying, realistic looking trees and ground cover, and they greatly improved damage model.
Kamperland EWS went off, so I went there as a LMG. I found a bushy spot and posted up on the north depot door (their spawnable, if they capped it). Allied flyer sh130 reported taking hits from ei in the woods to the east. He marked the area for another flyer in a Blen, who conducted two saturation bombing missions of the area.
Finally it was just me in town, and I waited and waited. Then I ate some beef stew mom made for me. About this time I saw some movement and looked closely to see between the depot and the CP a ei running up. He came around to the right of the building and I blasted him right before he went in the door. 101 minute msn failure for him, 49 minute MS for me. And the beef stew was great too.
Later on that same day, I posted up a LMG again in the same spot. I killed another ei in the same fashion, only this guy came from the left. Then I heard "tromp tromp tromp" behind me and froze. As the noise moved off I undeployed and crawled. I saw a gray run by real close and blasted him from prone no bipod position. Then I hopped up halfway and crept to two ei who were firing on the depot from the same brush I was in. I got close (about 3m) and blasted both of them. Finally a rifleman killed me. Four to one's a good trade I guess.
In later action, I had a eight mission success streak in my Havoc. On one of those I logged three kills at the Oostmalle-Turnhout FB. I looked back once to watch a bomb land near a 232--he detonated beautifully! The rats' new damage stuff is top notch. I also made RAF Colonel this night, so I guess I still have it. :D"

Then I took off and headed over towards Gorisboek, where fellow Dog razar2 reported seeing two EDDs heading towards BoZ. I swept BoZ bay searching for the EDDs. They were nowhere to be seen, even after checking the north and south canals leading to Willemstaad and Antwerp. Then the Kamperland EWS for ships went off.
I turned around and headed back to that area. One EDD was NW of the town about five kilometers out. I dove down from 8000ft, engines off, flaps out 50% to keep the speed manageable. I aimed slightly behind him then pulled up as I got near for about a 20' when I dropped all eight bombs along a path slightly off centerline. Then I hit the engines and ran to Vliss.
I flew five more bombing missions out of Vliss--climbing to around 7000-8000ft, finding a target, cutting engines and swooping down. All missions resulted in damaged EDDs; I didn't get any kills but I was hoping to make them list or perhaps take an engine out. Fellow dog lx joined me for a few of these missions and we got him an air promotion.
Sadly, on the sixth mission, lx and I got dead when the first 37mm shot from a EDD took our right wing off. We plummeted out of control into the icy waters near Veere."

When I arrived, fresh from discovering a nine ship fleet north of Dunquerke, the first probe was floundering. After riding into the edge of town and getting killed as a rifleman, I grabbed a M3 from "nearby" Fruges.
I began my cross-country trek to St. Pol across the formidable French desert. There were no trees in sight for kilometers. I drove roughly 10-12km and passed north of town, then flanked east to cut off resupply. I linked up with French tanker rampent, and we covered each other as gipper managed the op.
"Oh nos!!11!!!" I had thunk to myself as Dog commando fmjim reported a CTD...he had been stashed away in a diversion town by the renamed beertruk. Nevertheless, rampent and I maintained our vigil, and I damaged many sandwiches. Finally, and exasperating resupply cutoff crew spotted a PZ lumbering down the road east of St. Pol. rampent got excited and shot early, so we had to engage the PZ at about 1200m, and I expended 40AP rounds in killing him.
By this time, the pressure was on St. Pol once more, and leapfrogging back under each other's cover, rampent and I moved back to town and flanked north to plug up the AB north gate. Near to town, rampent was killed, and I saw ei near his position. I thought a sapper had got him, when 30 yards in front of me a PZ sprang out of some hard bushes! His flank to me, some fast 37mm in the flanks between the treads tore him up. I turned N immediately to get away from the ei before they could surround my tank with exp packs.
Turret turned S, and moving N up hill, I could cover a good area around me. I parked up on the N hill with a good view of town. I spotted a STUG but then he turned to me, so I made W like I was RTB'ing but doubled back. When I got on the hill once more, Mr. STUG was pointed away engaging another yonder M3. After 2 AP shots, I had him ranged at 1.3km. The 3rd AP round made a flash, and I waited, watching, knowing I had a 37mm hit on his bum. Three seconds later his ammo cooked and pretty fires were seen by all.
I maintained my hill for 10 minutes, then got bored, so I charged into the AB, killing a Flak on the way in. I entered the north gate, and a PZ was leaving the S gate. His buds must have been screaming on the horn, cause he turned to right proper. It did not avail him--my 37mm sent him to a shrapnel spalling doom. I rammed his dead hull, and had to back out and exit the same N gate I entered under fire from a PZ in the veh spawn. A guy with a rifle was nearby when I was stuck, guess he was just a rifle or maybe a super-retarded sapper...cause I was wide open and stuck.
I left and went back to my hill. Run two through the AB, and a PZ was at the N wall on the outside. Some frantic 37mm AP dispatched him. I ran thru the N gate and out the S gate, firing on a PZ in the veh spawn, only damaging him. I ran straight up the N road, turret pointed S to egress.
I was excited so I beat feat N up hill to the same spot and waited some more--10min or so. A JU was prowlin around and I sat tight. Once, a PZ38 poked out (the one i damaged?) and I ranged him but he ducked back before more damage was done. I ran downhill again for the N gate.
I approached the AB for round three and killed a PaK outside the AB with the hull MG. I could see a PZ leaving to the W through some hard bushes, but after chasing a while I saw there was really high grass and crap visibility. I broke off and went back around and inside the AB N gate. As I entered the N gate, moving along quickly, I could see nothing in the veh spawn but all of a sudden all crew were hit in the head three times. I despawned and the tank wasnt on fire but there was a ei sprinting nearby? That was odd, but in 3h40min I killed 2 PZIV, 1 STUG, 1 PZIII, 3 ei, 1 flak, 1 pak, and damaged three other tanks. I was listed MIA despite the head hits on all crewmen (weird).

AAR: Thankgiving In Zelzate, an Allied Teamwork AAR
inchfan writes "Normally I don't write AAR's, because I can't write them as good as you guys do. But tonight's efforts by some dedicated allies are worth noting.
Members of 4th brigade were holding the buffers around Gent and pushing to cap east when they could. Mainly a lot of FB defense and light assaults.
After pushing in to Lok for about 4 hours the Zel FB went Axis. I spawned a beddy in Zel and requested some sappers. Five came immediately. Angeljig and Dsnipe from Dog Co., Axewolfe, A first day player named Muntz-a-something and another allied player whose name escapes me now. We rolled east and I was PM'd by Montieth from 3rd RTR saying he was at FB and it was heavilly guarded. So we rolled way north and would come up on E side. Along the way, all in the truck were helping out the new player, answering questions and explaining acronyms. About 3K out, I hit an invis-a-hill (TM), and we promptly rolled spewing inf all over the grass. As good allied karma would have it, I landed on all fours and the inf was unhurt.
We rolled on and about 2K NW of FB Montieth says they hear you they are scanning your way. I short drop the sappers and head S to come up from under and distract. As I get closer I realize I dropped the inf a good 2.5K out, the FB was much further S than I had thought. As I cross the field about 1K S I promply die to a flak.
We now hear reports of 3-5 PZ's headin' toward Zelzate. I spawn a Crusader to intercept. The sappers are making their way to the FB which is now guarded by many inf, flaks and PZ's.
I encounter the first PZ and he dies quick. I begin rolling on the hunt for number 2 and I get flamed. The sappers are communicating constantly and still working their way to FB.
I grab a daimler and head out to flank the remaining pz's from the NE. On the way listening to the sappers and Montieth working together to slowly enter the FB. Just as the sappers approach Hardscout and IBE37 from Dog Company show up with Spits and plow the road for them.
8 On inf, 8 on Veh etc. FB Allied!
I spy the PZ that got my crusader, dead on from behind, he flames up easilly. Meanwhile our sapper team is working on 1 by 1 taking out the remaining PZ's, flaks and other assorted Axis stuff. This mop up alone took over a half hour. One at a time, working spread out in a group of 5 they kill them all. In the midst of all this picking up on their chatter, I was able to 86 the last 2 PZ's.
All done, I RTB the daimler and grab a beddy and go pick them up for RTB, they wouldn't think of despawning and wasting the resources. We roll back in to the AB 1 hour and 45 minutes after we started.
A simple 10 minute FB run for 6 guys turned into a almost 2 hour mission racking up at least 40 kills.
These guys are what teamwork is all about. Working together to get the FB down, paitently and with communication. Then with no charges left, they took on all the FB defenses and a handful of PZ's, when most often we simply see a despawn.
For showing how awesome successful teamwork is in this game, how instucting newer player results in better gameplay, how lethal patience can be, and how focusing attention to the hundreds of logistical aspects of the sim can lead to an overall victory, I salute you guys.
Very Nicely done. You have my unwavering respect. You are truly die hard allied players.

We called in for supply from Mechlen and Boom to the Southwest. Quizno lead the re-supplying.
for all that dogs that resupplied it was a great help. the town was held even after having the Ab
surrounded by pnz and all caps lost but ab. we fought back recapping the depots that weren't connected

had both fb actively supplying pnz and ei to lier. after fighting wave after wave off
we finally forced out of the ab and had british a13s defending against new waves of pnz
outside the depots to the north and east. I grabbed a newly supplied a13 and went east to
watch the east depot for ei that may be escaping to go around the ab from the west. I got 20 or 35

At first I dídn't know where to go..... shots and explosion could be heard from all directions. That the radio started the garble. A request from the Commanding Officer of the Antwerp defence came through. He need two soldiers for a special stealth mission..... I volunteered.
Only the destination of the mission was set out. It was to be the NAB in Antwerp. Departure base of my choosing.
I studied the map for a while and posted the mission from CAB to NAB and took up a rifle. When I came in the barracks CAB was quite heavily under fire, and I barely managed to escape through the destroyed buildings toward the west. My plan was move toward the west, toward the canal... then stay low in the high grass and move on toward the north. It took me at least 20 minutes just to get out of town unnoticed and to get to the waterfront. From there I on I sprinted/crawled an walked all the way up north toward the harbor and the canal. I had to go widely around the harbor in order not to be noticed by the AI posted all around the place.
I found this spot at the canal where I could swim across. From there on I continued toward the north and approached the NAB from the Southwest which seemed to be the safest spot to enter.
I stayed put just outside the NAB for at least 10 minutes to make sure everything was clear.
During that time I noticed an Opel and a few Panzers leaving the AB driving toward the heart of Antwerp.
There was also a weird Axis soldier. For some reason he was hunting down all the pigeons around the army base! (have the Axis really gone mad??...).
Anyway, after a while everything seemed to calm down and I made my way toward the bunker. Before entering I contacted the Commaning Officer what the latest situation was. Apparentely in the meantime CAB had been lost to the Axis and had already been recaptured just yet. So his request to me was to immediately capture the bunker and hold it until reinforcements could come through. I quickly sprinted toward the bunker, my rifle ready for any possible surprises. Alas... the Axis had been so busy attacking they had forgotten to place any defenders. So I managed to get inside the bunker unnoticed and was able to capture it. Shortly after the capture the reinforcements could come.....
It had been a tough journey, and I really needed my sleep. Not sure if Antwerp survived the night... but I did my best.

I saw another 110 inb to our fb, and i played chicken with him and when he started firing a pulled up did a 180, and got on his 6. Downing him allowing only 2 bombs to get off. I had a little more ammo left so i thought id go find a 109. Well they must have been saving them cause only 1 was there. but a ton of ju's were. so i Damaged one, causeing him to have to RTB, but his damage and the distance. he didnt make it.
I had to rtb for ammo but had 2 ju's on my 6 i out piloted them going up and down., Doing 360's and finally got a few of my fellow dogs to help intercept them omw to a RTb. and i got a sucsessful RTb. With 2 kills and another damage.
I relifted off and went to the target. and finally saw 3 109's so i worked and got on a 6 of one. After that it was easy. downing 2 109's before i saw a he-111. i was slightly damaged from a 109 on my 6 earlier. but dodged him. I got on top of the he111 and when he descended i had the easiest shot in the world. Downing him. Sadly my descent was tgo big and crashed into a tree.
I made 2 more runs that night downing 3 more 109's and 2 110's. With 1 more ju to go with my collection. It was my best AIR to Air battle yet. Considering i only got my first air to air kill last sunday that was a good step up. Now i want my spit5!!!!"

It was late on Friday this week the axis horde hitting the cities that surounded Liege. We Broke up panzer column after panzer column headed into these towns. Tongren was being hit Warmme was also being hit so hard that the allies need to fall back and regroup there. Ramet and Nandrin where also under heavy assult. Ramet was overrun and Warmme was in the hands of the enemy.
Gipper stepped up and decided we need to strike them down at thier sorce. We mounted a all out offensive on the city of Liege. Gipper OIC commanded a band of couragous Infantry to hit the Northeast ab. I was ordered to get the South ab and hold as long as I could.
We got set up and hit our first flags. We then held out for the time needed for us to hit the NE ab and take it away. I sneakly moved into position and killed the ai towers gaurding the South Ab. We reienforced the east side of Liege with A15s and a bunch of Infantry.
I grabed the Sab and we were set up to attrite the West ab. There was heavy fighting throughout the city as the allies held thier postions and tried desparately to depleat the axis Horde of their West Ab equipment. The Axis horde finally took back their South Ab yet could not access their equipment do to the fact we still held their Nourth East ab.
The fighting went on and on we held this Ab for close to 1 hour and 30 min when we lost the North east ab. No worries though some brave soul had recapped the South Ab. I at this time was just outside the Northeast ab. I moved in for the crushing blow. I watched as a opel full of Infantry leave the Northeast ab un protected and moved in.
I capped the bunker back and we held them off for another 30 min. In total we held Liege contested with 2 of its Abs unable to be used for close to 3 hours.
This attack that was pulled off by the great leadership of Gipper helped the allies hold what we still hold in the BEF. There were many of defenders at the cities that were still being assulted. We did great and the BEF was safe for at least alittle while.
We did our jobs and we still Keep Buggering On."

I ran through all the suggestions and tips people kept giving to me. I came in high, I tried to aim my plane for where the 109 was going and not try to fly straight at him. I knew he was strafing so I anticipated that he would climb sharply after his next run, and he did. I kept my nose pointing far to the front of his path, and I very quickly found myself coming up on his tail. Fortunately he was ending-over to come down for another run, and had no idea I had just swooped down from deep space. I let him fill my crosshairs and then opened up on him. Thick brown smoke immediately began pouring from his left wing, and he went into evasive maneuvers. He rolled the plane and goosed the throttle. He was going low probably hoping to outrun my Hurri with the 109's superior speed. Luckily he had just intentionally stalled to make another strafing run so his speed was diminished and I on the other hand was moving at a very nice clip, so I rolled with him, aiming my plane ahead of his and as he began to gather speed I fired again. The 109 flamed and went down much to my joy. My first 109 kill. I may just make seargent in air yet! I mean, I just want to drop bombs!"
