After Action Reports from the frontHow long can 5 dogs defend an fb attack?

Well we lost Steenbergen (no bde in town after a short period of time).

My last mission at Steenbergen I killed:
wokelly, kosten, flipper, seadbird1 & ramlee. ramlee killed me.

After we lost Steenbergen, Dog Company decided to defend the BOZ/Steen fb. We had a BLAST.

First one to spawn the fb on defense was ibe56 (whom I call dad)

The following shows who we killed & who killed us. I love how many attacked throughout this 2 hour defense. WAY TO GO DOGS!

After Action Reports from the frontTharival writes "Been trying to get better at suppressing enemy air defenses, especially around their forward bases. This mission I launched from Antwerp. My unit was reporting PZs around the AB.

Well, the PZs had been dealt with when I arrived, but a 232 was reported W of the AB. I spotted his tracers, extended to line up, and rolled in on him. I got some hits on his flank, and he took off, running S. As he crossed the road into the open, I lined up another flank shot. This one was more difficult as he was on the run. I fired a burst into his right flank and saw secondaries as I pulled out.

He kept going, to my dismay, and I did not want to deplete my ammo on a less-than-worthy target. I strafed an 88 that was SE of town as ground forces moved in to eliminate it. Then I proceded to the FB.

We already had two or three friendly air over the enemy stronghold and no enemy air was present. I waited until another friendly rolled in, cut my engine, and rolled in on the enemy flak position as they tracked the other fly on his pull-out. I released one of my 250lb bombs right onto the enemy position, silencing two of the big 40mm cannons.

I reported "two enemy 40mm destroyed" as I returned to town and resumed the FAC role. Nothing was doing so I headed back to the FB to support and inbound sapper team. Friendly air was still harassing, and I rolled in on a flak position containing three big guns. As I pulled out and looked back to survey the damage, all three guns were on fire, and there were numerous secondary explosions from ordnance cooking off.

After 2rcr arrived with Daimlers to suppress as the sapper team went in, I escorted daro, another HurriIIc gunship, back to base.

Intel told me I had destroyed five heavy flak guns, and the 232 and the 88 were only damaged. Mission success.

After Action Reports from the frontinchfan writes "It was one of the greatest WW2 experiences I have had to this date.

It was late on Friday this week the axis horde hitting the cities that surounded Liege. We Broke up panzer column after panzer column headed into these towns. Tongren was being hit Warmme was also being hit so hard that the allies need to fall back and regroup there. Ramet and Nandrin where also under heavy assult. Ramet was overrun and Warmme was in the hands of the enemy.

Gipper stepped up and decided we need to strike them down at thier sorce. We mounted a all out offensive on the city of Liege. Gipper OIC commanded a band of couragous Infantry to hit the Northeast ab. I was ordered to get the South ab and hold as long as I could.

We got set up and hit our first flags. We then held out for the time needed for us to hit the NE ab and take it away. I sneakly moved into position and killed the ai towers gaurding the South Ab. We reienforced the east side of Liege with A15s and a bunch of Infantry.

I grabed the Sab and we were set up to attrite the West ab. There was heavy fighting throughout the city as the allies held thier postions and tried desparately to depleat the axis Horde of their West Ab equipment. The Axis horde finally took back their South Ab yet could not access their equipment do to the fact we still held their Nourth East ab.

The fighting went on and on we held this Ab for close to 1 hour and 30 min when we lost the North east ab. No worries though some brave soul had recapped the South Ab. I at this time was just outside the Northeast ab. I moved in for the crushing blow. I watched as a opel full of Infantry leave the Northeast ab un protected and moved in.

I capped the bunker back and we held them off for another 30 min. In total we held Liege contested with 2 of its Abs unable to be used for close to 3 hours.

This attack that was pulled off by the great leadership of Gipper helped the allies hold what we still hold in the BEF. There were many of defenders at the cities that were still being assulted. We did great and the BEF was safe for at least alittle while.

We did our jobs and we still Keep Buggering On."

On sunday Kolbo had a excellent and sucsessful irene on monschau, i helped call flags on the map and it was a lot of fun. Total time of attack 15 minutes.

On monday i was in game most of the day (thank god for vacations) and did alot of fb duty, me being the driver as earlier monday i got my lelearners permit. total with and without dogs we closed around 20 fbs many twice or 3 times.

Who knows what tuesday and other days will bring, will this weekend bring a map reset?"
